Teen among three hurt in Anantnag crash, all in critical condition

Anantnag, April 15, KNT: Teen among three laides were critically injured in a road collision at Sangam in Bijbehara area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday, officials said.

The injured were initially shifted to the District Hospital Anantnag for treatment and later referred to SKIMS Soura for specialized care due to the severity of their injuries.

They have been identified as Sadiya Amin (15), daughter of Mohammad Amin Rather of Ashmuji Kulgam; Sony (28), daughter of Mohammad Amin Rather of Ashmuji Kulgam; and Rukaiya (30), wife of Ajaz Ahmad Mohand of Sangam Shopian.

All three sustained serious injuries in the collision and remain in critical condition, reports said.

Police have taken cognisance of the incident, and further investigation has been initiated to ascertain the circumstances leading to the crash.

The incident adds to a series of road accidents reported in south Kashmir, where authorities have repeatedly urged motorists to adhere to traffic regulations and exercise caution, particularly on busy stretches. [KNT]
