Centre Engages Panel of Advocates for CAT Jammu Bench

Jammu, Feb 23, KNT: The Ministry of Law and Justice, Department of Legal Affairs, has approved the engagement of a panel of advocates for conducting cases before the Central Administrative Tribunal, Jammu Bench, and the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, Jammu Wing.

An official order issued from New Delhi, states that the appointments have been made for a period of three years from the date of the order or until further directions, whichever is earlier.

For the High Court wing, Yatin Mahajan has been appointed as Senior Panel Counsel, while Kanav Sharma has been engaged as Panel Counsel.

Under the category of Central Government Counsel, Karan Sharma and Amulya Gupta have been appointed.

Additionally, for the Central Administrative Tribunal, Jammu Bench, Karan Sharma and Amulya Gupta have been designated as Additional Central Government Standing Counsels.

The order specifies that the professional fee and terms of engagement shall be governed by the existing instructions issued by the Department of Legal Affairs from time to time.

Copies of the order have been circulated to senior officials, including the Principal Secretary to the President of India, the Solicitor General of India, the Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir, and other concerned authorities for information and necessary action. [KNT]
