New Delhi, April 19, KNT: The All India Medical Students Association (AIMSA) has raised concern over the disappearance of a Baramulla resident, Shabir Ahmad, who has been missing in Delhi since February 2025.
According to the association, Shabir Ahmad, an orphan, had gone out for Eid shopping but did not return and has remained untraceable since.
The case highlights concerns over the pace of investigation, with the family continuing to await updates more than a year after his disappearance.
Dr Mohammad Momin Khan, National Vice President of AIMSA, said the prolonged absence has left the family in distress and uncertainty.
“A missing person case has already been registered, but despite repeated appeals by the family, no significant breakthrough has been made so far,” he said.
The case is registered at Nabi Kareem Police Station in Delhi, where authorities are handling the investigation.
AIMSA has called upon Delhi Police to intervene at a senior level and ensure a thorough and transparent probe into the matter.
The association said the family deserves clarity and urged authorities to expedite efforts to trace the missing person.
The development brings attention to unresolved missing cases and the challenges faced by families seeking timely action. [KNT]
