Police Lead Anti-Drug Rally in Srinagar’s Nishat

Srinagar, April 24, KNT: An anti-drug awareness rally was organized in the Brein–Nishat area of Srinagar on Friday, with participation from local youth, fitness groups, and police officials.

The rally was conducted by Muscle Factory Gym Nishat in collaboration with Nishat Police Station under the supervision of SHO Parvaiz Ahmad. The march commenced from Syed Rehman Sahib in Brein and proceeded towards Brein Bazar.

Participants raised awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and emphasized the need for collective responsibility in addressing the issue. The rally saw active involvement of local residents and young participants, reflecting growing community engagement on the issue.

Police officials highlighted the importance of preventive outreach alongside enforcement measures, stating that public participation is key to building a drug-free society.

The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts in the area to promote awareness and discourage substance abuse through community-based programs. [KNT]
